	Having not ridden a bike for nearly 17 years after my bike got stolen the first time I rode it in to university in Birmingham, a friend suggested I come on the breeze ride that she ran trying to encourage ladies on to bikes again;I borrowed a bike and loved it. I started riding on some shop rides from Pelican Cycles on a borrowed bike until my first bike, the Ridley, came in on the cycle to work scheme in 2013.Eventually I found that the Breeze rides weren't quite challenging enough any more and came across WCS on Facebook. My first ride with WCS was the Rapha women's 100 in summer 2014, which gave me the confidence to start regularly riding out on the steady cake rides on Saturday Mornings.

2015 was a good and bad year for me, it started with a spell in hospital and a few months recovering, the summer had me trying my first time trials, thanks to the encouragement received from other team members. after another spell in hospital, (I promise I'll avoid them for 2016) after a crash I've even started riding on the Velodrome in Derby. 2016's goals are to try some open event TTs and maybe pop my circuit/track racing cherry. All things I never imagined I'd be doing until I joined WCS.
